Munlochy clouty well: strips of cloth & children's clothes festoon the trees, fence & outflow basin beside the A832 on the Black Isle N of Inverness. Water from the mineral-rich spring, emerging from a small cave on the hillside, is piped down to the roadside basin. An ancient pagan well partly Christianized but still used for healing & wishing. Something of a tourist activity & spectacle, but the many baby & toddler items suggest those offerings are sincere & heartfelt.
