The fertile fronds are taller, and are furnished with fewer narrow-strap-shaped leaflets, the upper surface of which is densely clothed with minute scales.—Reichenhach, Botanische Zeitimg, 1872, p. 490. Some seven or eight other species are described by Mr. Baker ; but they are known only from dried specimens in herbaria.
