An etched Italian morion,circa 1590 The skull formed in one piece with a high,corded comb and surrounding(partly replaced)brass lining rivets. The brim rising to a point(one tip an old replacement)with turned-under and corded rim. The entire surface is etched with floral decoration and with mirrored lions at the comb. Old,leather chinstrap,plume socket is a replacement.
