Scale model of Brussel's central market place with flower carpet displayed, with the real Atomium in the background, Brussels.

Mini-Europe is a park located in Bruparck at the foot of the Atomium in Brussels. Mini-Europe has reproductions of the most attractive monuments in the European Union on show, at a scale of 1:25. Roughly 80 cities and 350 buildings are represented. The Atomium is a monument built for Expo '58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. Designed by Andre Waterkeyn, it is 102m tall, with nine steel spheres connected so that the whole forms the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. The Grand Place or Grote Markt is the central square of Brussels. It is surrounded by guildhalls, the city's Town Hall, and the Breadhouse. The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels, along with the Atomium and Manneken Pis. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
