The recently demolished Steetley magnesite works north of Hartlepool
The remains of the settling tanks at the Steetley magnesite works, Hartlepool. The site was demolished in spring 2012 and the chimney is set to be blown up in late July, charity tickets having been sold for the privilege of blowing it up! Magnesite used to be a key component in the bricks used in the steel industry.
