Ryan Powers, Joint Forces Headquarters, WVNG. The 10-foot sea water surge caused extensive damage to the system. Both Soldiers are part of a small team of National Guard members that were tasked with helping New York with recovery efforts after Hurricane Sandy and have specific knowledge about generators and power production.
