As an ingredient, the green Mustard imparts a delightfully pungent flavor to the various forms of prepared salads. Fcr early crops the seed may be sown in a hot-bed in March, and for general crop at frequent intervals through the spring, in drills from eight to twelve inches apart. White Iiondon. The beet variety for salads ; the seed is also used medicinally, and as a seasoning for pickles. Per oz., 5 cts.; lb- 15 cts.; lb., 40 cts. 0 Black or Brown. An esteemed sort for culinary use. This planl is extensively cultivated for its green pods, which are used in soups and stews, and are very wholesome and nutritious.
