Miss June Lamb, daughter of Mrs. Hugh E. Lamb, of the OakForest Church, will go to Japan shortlyafter completing a special course atthe General Assemblys Training School,Richmond, Va., under the Board ofWorld Missions of the General As-sembly. Miss Lamb will be supported by theFirst Presbyterian Church, Greenwood,S. C. She attended Lees McRae College, atBanner Elk, and afterwards received thedegrees of B. S. and R. T. from University. She served with the Waves, in theU. S. Navy for one year, for two yearsas X-Ray technician at Norburn Hos-pital, Asheville, and was with theAtomic Bomb Casualty Commission inJapan for two years. In addition she has attended theSchool of Social Work at the Universityof North Carolina, and the TrainingSchool in Richmond for special workbefore sailing for Japan.
