Chang and Eng, Original Siamese Twins


Eng and Chang Bunker with their sons. On the left is Eng with his son James (age 21). On the right is Chang with his son Albert (age 12). This photo was taken by the Boston photographer Samuel Masury after the twins came out of retirement in 1870. Chang and Eng Bunker (1811-1874) were conjoined twins from Siam (now Thailand) who settled in North Carolina after a celebrity career in which they toured the world giving lectures and demonstrations.
