Preston UK, 22 June 2013. Weeton Military Wives Choir debut at the Preston Military Show at Fulwood Barracks, Preston, Lancashire . Servicemen and women, cadets and veterans represent the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force from all over the North West: Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. The Preston Military Show community singers at largest display by the armed forces in the North West of England.


The wives and girlfriends of soldiers from the North West serving in Afghanistan make their singing debut as the Weeton Military Wives Choir. The 24-strong choir consists mainly of the partners of soldiers who serve at Weeton Barracks, near Blackpool, the home of the 2nd Battalion, The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment. Their performance was among the highlights of this year's Preston Military Show at Fulwood Barracks.
