Nipple reconstruction surgery. Image 13 of 13. Reconstructed nipple and areola immediately after surgery. A skin flap on the female patient's breast was used to form the false nipple and a skin graft from her thigh was used to make the areola. The patient lost her right nipple during surgery to remove a tumour (lumpectomy). See M590/311-323 for a sequence showing nipple reconstruction surgery.
