Erectile dysfunction treatment drug. Man injecting the drug alprostadil (prostaglandin) into his penis. Alprostadi is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. It is injected directly into the tissue of the penis where it causes the blood vessels to dilate (vasodilation), allowing more blood flow into the tissue, which caused an erection.
