During the season 1896-1897, Mr. Robert Garbutt, men-tioned in the foregoing song, and his son, Mr. EdwardGarbutt, had the hounds, and saw their best sport over theHambleton side of the country. The Garbutt familyhave long been connected with the history of the Hunt,and Roberts brother Chappie is now the oldest member,and Chairman of the Hunt Committee. His forbears havealways walked a hound, and called it Ruby, and to thisday there is a Ruby at Chappies farm at Hawnby.
