Morston Quay High Tide Norfolk

Like its neighbour Blakeney, Morston, used to be a major port 400 years ago, but is now only used by a small number of fishing boats, leisure craft and the regular seal watching trips which leave for Blakeney Point. A stony track leading away from the road signposted Morston Quay takes you to the enchanting, wide open spaces of Morston's marshes. Varied saltmarsh vegetation edge the muddy creeks and pools where swans idle their time away. Mud paths snake through the saltings and good views of the Blakeney Channel lined with its compliment of fishing boats and pleasure craft can be seen. The picturesque small quay supports the local sea faring enterprises of seal boat trips that operate year round, a small scale fish, mussel, crab, lobster fishing industry and is a hub of activity for water based activities.
