Cowes Isle of Wight Thursday 28th April 2016 GV showing Scene of Crime officers and CID officers outside 130 St Mary Road in Cowes Police have launched an investigation following the death of a 20 year man in Cowes on the Isle of Wight this morning. Speaking from the scene this morning Inspector Robert Able from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police confirmed that a man had died but his death was not being treated as susepcious St Mary’s Road in Cowes remains sealed off with cordon tape with officers stand ing guard whilst Specialist Fire officers from Hampshire Fire and Rescue service stationed at Winchester and Southsea have spent the early hours outside of a the cowes property . Fire crews have been using a substance analysis and identification machine to identify the compounds used following the death of the unnamed male. Rapid response Paramedics from Isle of Ambulance were called just after on Wedesnday evening after a member of the family made a 999 call after discovering the man in distress The family in the cowes property along with two paramedics were rushed to St Mary’s hospital in Newport for checks after being exposed to the substance within the property. One female paramedic is believed have been injured by the chemical fumes whilst attempting to save the man. Both the family member and the paramedics where checked and discharged later in the evening. Specialist officers are now working to piece together the circumstance surrounding the incident. @UKNIP
