A recruit with Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, muscles through an obstacle during Confidence Course I at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, July 30. Recruits were expected to practice discipline by pushing their bodies through every obstacle. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate Oct. 5.
