ABA Memorial Runnymede 'To commemorate Magna Carta, symbol of Freedom Under Law' image June 2015 on the 800th anniversary
The ABA Memorial at Runnymede photographed half an hour after the summer solstice dawn and 6 days after its rededication on the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta. Note the stone benches either side of the memorial which were installed in 2015 to replace wooden ones. The domed classical style roofed colonnade (monopteros) houses a central pillar of English granite with the inscription "To commemorate Magna Carta, symbol of Freedom Under Law".
