Comparatively little has been done by the English, andonly a limited amount of description has been published in ourlanguage. An interesting paper by Professor Percy Gardner,in his New Chapters in Greek History, some valuable referencesby Miss Jane Harrison and Mrs. Verrall in their Mythology andMonuments of Ancient Athens, the admirable notes in Outline Restorationof Some of the Principal Buildingsof the Hieron of Epidauros (Some emendations in this plate have been-«*k (\~ borrowed from the important work published by M.
