Woking,Surrey Thursday 19th January 2017 Teenager Fighting for His Life after Stabbing in Upmarket Area of Woking Police received reports at around that a 16-year-old had gone into a local hospital with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where his condition is described as serious. A police cordon was set up on the A3046 Chobham Road on Wednesday night, between the Brewery Road roundabout and the Wheatsheaf pub. A passer-by, who was at the scene last night, said: “I was coming home from work last night and police had cordoned off a large section of pavement along Chobham Road. “There were officers standing guard at certain points along the cordon and they were only letting people who lived inside the cordon pass. “Nobody would say what had happened but it must have been pretty serious because the pavement was still cordoned off this morning [Thursday] and officers guarding were standing guard. “Four yellow forensic cones had been placed on part of the pavement and were covering what appeared to be evidence on the ground.” A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said paramedics were called at around to Woking Community Hospital and they attended the scene with a car and an ambulance. The teenager was treated on the scene for a neck wound and then took him to another hospital where he remains in a “serious condition.” Witnesses urged to contact police Detective Sergeant David Bentley said: “I am urging anybody who witnessed an incident in Chobham Road to contact us as soon as possible. “Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, could help us establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.” Surrey Police asks anybody with information to call 101 quoting reference P17013749.©UKNIP
