Charles (Chuck) W. Colson, the first man imprisoned for his involvement in the Watergate break-in, in1971, speaking on stage during the 2001 Billy Graham Crusade at Fresno State in Fresno, California. Colson served as Special Counsel for President Richard Nixon from 1969 to 1973 and served seven months of a 1-3 years sentence at the Alabama Maxwell Prison after he pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice. Colson converted to Christianity in 1973 before entering prison and founded the Prison Fellowship after his release. Prison Fellowship, a multimillion-dollar international organization has become the largest prison ministry in the world.
