King Richard I (The Lionheart) at the shrine of Januarius, Naples, Italy, 1190. Kneeling in prayer and contemplation, paying homage to Januarius I of Benevento, Bishop of Benevento, a martyr and saint of the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches.

Illustration from Cassell's illustrated history of England published circa 1896. Info from wiki: Januarius (Latin: Ianuarius; Italian: Gennaro), also known as Januarius I of Benevento, was Bishop of Benevento and is a martyr and saint of the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox Churches. While no contemporary sources on his life are preserved, later sources and legends claim that he died during the Great Persecution[2] which ended with Diocletian's retirement in 305.
