A gold-inlaid Persian kulah khud, 19th century The one-piece embossed iron skull, with riveted crown plate and screw-mounted quadrangular section. The entire surface profundly chiselled with flowers and gold-inlaid ornaments, the lower edge surrounded by silver-damascened calligraphic cartouches. Riveted plume sockets and sliding nasal bar, the attached aventail of butted iron and brass rings (minor losses). The interior with original helmet lining, the exterior oldly varnished.
