A tall monument to the railroad tycoon William Washington Gordon stands in the center of Wright Square in the historic district of Savannah, Ga. The monument was built on top of the former grave site of Tomo-Chi-Chi, a native American who gave his land to James Oglethorpe in the 1700's for the founding of the city of Savannah.
