JOSEPH VTALTON, was born in New Castle, May 27,1642 ; was a minister in Portsmouthfrom 1789 to his death Jan. 10, 1822. REV. BENJAMIN RANDALL Founder of the Free Will BaptistSociety of America, was born in New Castle in 1749; became inter-ested in religion through hearing Whitefield ; organized theFree Will Baptist church ; settled inNew Durham, and died Oct. 22,1808.
