His wife Rosario Murillo who is apolygot translates for him. ``Nicaragua is willing to negotiate with the United States toward a treaty of peace and friendship,`` Ortega said through an interpreter. ``We are willing to sign a treaty of peace and friendship with the United States immediately.`` Ortega also invited Reagan to visit Nicaragua and meet with top officials as well as the Nicaraguan people. He noted that although Reagan granted a visa for Ortega`s visit, the president has refused to meet with him.
