FrederickM. Ott, a lawyer of Dauphin County bar, is the representativeof this family at the present time. Doctor Isaac Ott was a prominent physician in NorthamptonCounty, Pennsylvania. He was born in 1847, and after graduat-ing with honors at college, studied medicine at the Universityof Pennsylvania, later going to Germany and London to makefurther research. In 1878 he organized a physiological labora-tory in the University of Pennsylvania, and lectured for years onexperimental physiology. He was made a Fellow in Biology atJohns Hopkins University in 1878. He has published a numberof medical works and made important discoveries in connectionwith nervous diseases and fevers. [106].
