Florence (Firenze in Italian) is the cradle of renaissance and a city full of history, art and culture. You can see clearly the signs of one of the most important historical periods, not only for Italy, but for the whole world, almost everywhere. In the photo you can see, in the left part the bridges of river Arno (among them the famous Ponte Vecchio-Old Bridge, with the beautiful jewelry shops in her both sides), in the middle the Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace)with the 94m high Torre d' Andolfo and on the right part the magnificent Cathedral, the Duomo, with the outstanding, enormous dome by Brunelleschi (you can reach to its top climbing some 360 steps, but the panoramic view is absolutely rewarding) and the 82m high Campanile, built by Giotto, another great spot for panoramic views. The other option you have for a panoramic view is from the area of Oltrarno (Beyond Arno)and especially the Piazzale Michelangelo, from where this photo is taken.
