Members of the crowd apply traditional Aboriginal face paint during the march towards Musgrave took to the streets of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on the 26th January, the Australia Day (often referred to as Invasion Day): a date synonymous with the beginning of the persecution of Aboriginal people to call for action on important issues for First Nations people and for proper recognition of crimes historically perpetrated against them. Several elders spoke at Queens Gardens before the crowd marched through the city and over the bridge to Musgrave Park in South Brisbane.
