Childhood body fat research. Researcher using a machine, known as the PEA POD, to measure the body fat of a young child. This machine uses air displacement plethysmography, which measures changes in volume within the body to give a highly accurate measurement. This is being done as part of a study to build up reference charts representing the healthy body composition of children of different ages.
