Recruits of Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, conduct incline sit-ups during the bases and circuit course at Marine Corps Recruits Depot San Diego, June 28. To conduct a proper sit-up, the recruits’ forearms had to touch their thighs. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Kilo Company is scheduled to graduate Sept. 9.
