Elderly man helps rebuild Phanh-Ban, a village attacked by Viet Cong terrorists on June 11, 1970. The village, located 17 miles East of Danang, was destroyed during a two-hour raid, in retaliation for their refusal to support local Viet Cong activities. Over 150 civilians, mostly women, children, and elders, were killed. The man salvages materials to reconstruct the village. DEFENSE DEPT. PHOTO (MARINE CORPS) bh 127 GVB-173- 4374019.
