Rigel, a daughter of Peterand Matilda Rigel, said union being blessed withfour children, as follows: Hattie Icie Dora, SallieGertie Matilda. Charles Andrew Peter, andJohn Alvin. Soon after he became of agehe was elected assessor of West Beavertownship; served one term as jury com-missioner of Snyder county, and also was electedas a representative delegate of Snyder county tothe Republican State convention which met atHarrisburg in the year when James G. Blaine. A. A. ULSH, President. was a candidate for the nomination for presidentof the United States, and by his vote endorsedhis nomination as Snyder countys Spring township was formed he was ap-pointed by the governor of the state as one of the over half a century.
