Black Rot of Cabbage is a disease that has not attractedmuch attention until the last few years but has during that timecaused much damage to cabbage and cauliflower. The first indication of this disease is upon the outer leavesof the plant which turn yellow and die in spots usually near themargins. Such leaves are also liable to wilt and careful exami-nation will show that the veins in and near the dead areas areblackened. These spots enlarge and gradually involve the wholeleaf, from which it passes to the stem and to the rest of the. moth Red Rock.
