A Swiss dagger,circa 1560 Double-edged blade with a reinforced point. There is a copper filled mark on both sides of the short ricasso. Typical fire-gilded bronze grip richly decorated with maskarons,tendrils and scroll work. Gilding worn. Old repair between pommel and grip. Length 34 cm.
