Airmen assigned to the New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing perform Preventive maintenance checks and services on their HUMVEE to prepare for a hurricane support mission at Gabreski Air National Guard Base, Westhampton Beach, New York on August 22, 2021, as part of the New York state response to Tropical Storm Henri's landfall. As part of the state's response the New York National Guard activated five hundred Soldiers and Airmen on Long Island, and the Hudson Valley, New York, and the Albany area to respond to any State requests for assistance.
