Grows to goodFlatter than the Globe Dan-Q and attractive appearance. ONION SEEDS and SETS (sjtotebel) Good Onion Seed is of the greatest importance Onions thrive best on a rich, deep, loamy soil. For sets, the seed should besown very thickly in drills as early as possible in spring. In summer, as soon asthe tops die down, harvest the bulbs and store them in a dry, cool place, spreadingthem in thin layers. Early in the following spring replant them 4 inches apart, insmall drills 12 inches apart, and they will form into fine, large bulbs early in theseason. Large Onions may also be grown from seed the first season if the land isstrong and well manured, the seed sown thinly in drills a foot apart, and theseedlings thinned to stand 3 or 4 inches apart in the drills; they must be well cul-tivated and kept free from weeds. Five pounds per acre will be required forlarge Onions; for sets, 60 pounds. ^YELLOW GLOBE D
