In doingthis, the current through the booster is largely increased, but thepressure can be reduced from about 250 to 125 or 130 volts, (see ) and in addition, a belter pressure is obtained at the Wayne Junc-tion end of the section. COST OF OPERATING. For volt and ampere meter readings taken from the power housein October, i8g5, we find that 136,576,911^ watt-hours were deliveredto the line at the battery house.
