Gavin Duff, executive officer aboard GHWB, during a burial at sea for retired Senior Chief Irvin Hornkohl held aboard the ship. Hornkohl, a Navy veteran of 30 years, served during World War II during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and completed two tours in Vietnam as a Navy Seabee. Hornkohl passed away June 26, 2016 and was laid to rest at sea Sept. 24, 2016. GHWB is currently conducting Tailored Ship's Training Availability and Final Evaluation
