Private 1st Class Pete Simon, a Greek soldier, is seen in this composite image. Born in Gagallinus, Greece and weighing 158 lbs at age 25, Simon stands 5 ft. 6 inches tall. He immigrated to America in 1910 and speaks both Greek and English. Simon received 11 years of education in Greek schools and worked as a restaurant proprietor. He was naturalized and drafted under the July law, joining the 32nd Division at Chateau-Thierry. Known as a conscientious soldier, Simon is praised by officers for his dedication and trustworthiness. This photograph was taken in Euf, Germany.
