Wayne Bodine, the Marine Expeditionary Brigade liaison officer for the Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), understand the severity of the situation, Feb. 7, 2010, Farah, Afghanistan. The flood, a result of three days of heavy snowfall followed by rain, has killed six women, six children, 60 horses, and 2,000 sheep in Por Chaman. It is estimated that 200 jeribs (approximately 100 acres) of land is under water and the Villages of Qarya-i-Nizgan, Kamaraq, and Khaief are all affected by this disaster.
