MISAWA, Japan (Nov. 10, 2021) – Chief selects, assigned to various commands at Naval Air Facility Misawa and Misawa Air Base, extinguish a controlled aircraft fire during a training exercise. This is the first time this event has included Sailors, Airmen, and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) members. NAF Misawa provides aviation and ground logistics support and services to all permanent and transient Navy and Marine Corps forces in Northern Japan.
