The Peroneus brevis (musculo-cutaneous [peroneal] branch of ext. poplitealnerve) abducts the foot and rotates it, raising the outer edge. The Tibialis posticus (posterior tibial nerve from int. pop.) adducts the footand curves it, rendering the outer border and instep more convex. Its power ofadduction is great
