Robert Skerne (died 1437) and his wife Joan - from a 1437 brass engraving which marks their burial place in All Saints Church Kingston upon Thames . He served as a member of Parliament for Surrey, was a Justice of the Peace & keeper of St. Ellen’s hospital . In addition he was a Royal commissioner and also acted in a number of official financial roles. Joan was the youngest daughter of Alice Perrers, mistress of King Edward III of Britain.
