WASHINGTON, DC - The national headquarters of the US Federal Reserve System housed in the Eccles Building on Constitution Avenue in Washington DC. It houses the main offices of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve, or The Fed, as it is often known, is the central banking system of the United States. Established by the Federal Reserve Act in 1913, it has three key objectives for US monetary policy: maximizing employment, stabilizing prices, and moderating long-term interest rates.
