Stone commemorating the Redeswire raid, an affray at a March Wardens meeting on 7 July 1575. Sir John Forster English Warden and John Carmichael Keeper of Liddesdale deputising for Scottish Warden were present with their followers English were routed Sir John Forster captured and 24 of the English killed.
