160819-N-BL607-026 ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 19, 2016) The guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61), right, and the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94) approach the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8) to conduct a replenishment-at-sea. Monterey and Nitze, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, are supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
