Hydrogen production facility


Hydrogen production facility, Namie, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. This facility uses renewable energy to produce green hydrogen. It is a 10MW-class facility, the biggest in the world when construction was completed in March 2020. It is capable of producing up to 100 kilograms of hydrogen per hour. The hydrogen can be stored in fuel cells, transported for use in hydrogen cars and buses, or piped to industry. Photographed in March 2020.
