By the third article, Persiacodes the Khanat of Erivan and that of Nakshivan. By thefourth, the boundary-line is described as drawn from that ofthe Ottoman states, passing over the summit of Little Ararat,and down the Lower Karasu to the Aras, then proceeding inthe bed of that river to Abbasabad and Yedibouloob, trav-ersing the plain of Mogan to Adina Bazaar, ascending thecurrent of that name to its source, and thence running alongthe west of the Eiburz or Caucasian Mountains to the sourceof the Ashtara, which it follows to the sea ; thus ceding thegreater part of Talish to Russia, and including all the islandsof the Caspian $ea that fail within its direction.
