Cox, James McCullough (, 94), wasborn in New York city January 19, has been assistant superintendent of thePhiladelphia & Reading Railroad Terminalat Philadelphia, from 1894 to date, and hascharge of the machinery connected with theterminal station^ including arc and incan-descent electric lighting, cold-storage and iceplant, air-compressors, elevator machinery,storage battery, boilers, etc. Since 1899 hehas been electrical engineer in charge ofall electric lighting and power for the above-mentioned road. He is a member of theEngineers Club, Philadelphia, and of theDelta Tau Delta fraternity. Mr. Cox is a son of Edwin Marion andAlida (McCullough) Cox. He married Nel-lie Glover, July 14, 1894, and they have onechild, Harold Marion Cox. Cox, John Lyman (, 87), was bornin Philadelphia, Pa., in 1866; son of JamesS. aiid Mary F. (Hazard) Cox. He was. course in the Stevens High School. Earlyin the year 1888 he entered the employ ofthe Midvale Steel Co., of Philadelphia, andshortly thereafter was made assistant fore-man of the forge. Since 1896 he has beenin charge of this department, which includesthe hammer, tilting, and hydraulic pressshops, as well as the blacksmith shop, roll-ing-mill and shipping-department. He hastaken an active part in many of the improve-ments and extensions which have markedthe phenomenal growth of these works inrecent years. Mr. Cox is a member of the UniversityClub of Philadelphia, of the Society of Co-lonial Wars, the Geographical Society ofPhiladelphia, the American GeographicalSociety, and of the Pennsylvania Academyof Fine Arts.
