Honfleur, Calvados, Normandy, France: the roof of the Église Sainte-Catherine looms behind the tile-hung façades of 17th and 18th century tall but narrow houses lining the Quai Ste-Catherine when seen across the Vieux Bassin (Old Basin, Harbour or Dock), the harbour begun in 1668. Many of the houses have two owners, with their rear-facing upper floors overlooking the streets behind the harbour.
